Objective To investigate the surgical complications and its influence factors of radical surgery in the treatment of elderly patients with colorectal cancer. Methods Two hundreds and sixteen patients with colorectal cancer who were treated in the Second People's Hospital of Lianyungang City from January 2010 to September 2014 as the research object, the clinical data were collected by the self-made general data questionnaire, and they were analyzed by descriptive statistics and logistic regression analysis using SPSS 19.0. Results For elderly patients with colorectal cancer radical operation, pulmonary infection and wound infection were the common complications.Single factor and logistic regression analysis showed that medical comorbidity, hypoproteinemia, operation time, Dukes staging, and smoking were risk factors of postoperative complications in the colorectal cancer patients. Conclusion For elderly patients with colorectal cancer underwent radical operation, pulmonary infection and wound infection are the common complications.It's occurrence by various factors.
