To retrospectively summarize the medical rescue organization and strategy of West China Hospital medical team during the Wenchuan earthquake so as to provide reference for rescue practice in the future. We emphasize that the key point to improve the efficiency of rescue is scientifically assigning and util izing medical resource according to the demand at the actual locale of the earthquake and the characters of various stages of the earthquake .
ObjectiveTo explore family care and its influence on the life quality of schizophrenia patients. MethodsBetween September 2011 and March 2012, 101 schizophrenia patients were investigated with Questionnaire of Family Care and Quality of Life Inventory and were divided into two groups in order to compare their life quality. According to the scores of Questionnaire of Family Care, 56 subjects were in support group and 45 subjects were in control group. ResultsAmong the 101 patients, 55.45% had good family care and 44.55% had not. In the support group, there was no significant correlation between family care and life quality in the first month and the third month (r=0.023, P=0.894; r=-0.072, P=0.587), while there was a significant correlation between family care and life quality in the sixth month (r=-0.322, P=0.032). In the control group, there was no significant differences in the score of family care and life quality in the first, third and sixth month (r=0.021, P=0.893; r=0.114, P=0.482; r=1.863, P=0.226). ConclusionLong-term family care is significantly correlated with the life quality of schizophrenia patients. If schizophrenic patients get more poor family care, they will have lower life quality. It's important to create a good and comfortable environment for the patients.
ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical effect of transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block as part of multimodal analgesia in enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) program for patients with hepatic hydatidosis. MethodsThis study was a randomized controlled trial (The registration number was ChiCTR2100053689). According to the established inclusion and exclusion criteria, the patients diagnosed with hepatic hydatidosis treated in the People’s Hospital of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture from October 2019 to August 2021 were prospectively included. The odd and even by obverse and reverse of coin was adopted to assign into the study group and the control group, respectively. The patients in the study group were treated with ERAS + TAP block + patient controlled intravenous analgesia (PCIA) + tramadol and the patients in the control group were treated with ERAS + PCIA + tramadol. The intraoperative and postoperative statuses of the two groups were compared. ResultsA total of 64 patients were enrolled in this study, including 32 patients in the study group and 32 patients in the control group. There were no statistical differences in the baseline data such as the age, gender, preoperative complications, preoperative liver function, and liver hydatid type between the two groups (P>0.05). The operations of 64 patients were performed successfully, and there was no perioperative death. There were no statistical differences in the operation time, intraoperative bleeding, and operation mode between the two groups (P>0.05). Compared with the control group, the points of visual analogue scale of postoperative pain on day 1 and 2 were lower (P<0.05), the dosage of tramadol within 2 d after operation and hospitalization expenses were less (P<0.05), and the getting out of bed time, eating liquid diet time, postoperative exhaust time, and total hospital stay were shorter (P<0.05) in the study group. The total complication rate of the study group was lower than that of the control group [28.1% (9/32) vs. 78.1% (25/32), χ2=16.063, P<0.001]. The comprehensive complication index was positively correlated with the total hospital stay (r=0.941, P<0.001) and hospitalization expenses (r=0.958, P<0.001). ConclusionPreliminary results of this study suggest that multimodal analgesia included TAP block is effective in ERAS, and could shorten hospital stay and reduce hospitalization expenses.
Objective To explore the influencing factors of internet game addiction among middle school students. Methods Students from a certain district in Sichuan between September 2022 and March 2023 were included as participants. Basic information such as gender, age, whether the subjects were only children, place of residence, parental education, and subjective economic status were investigated. The nine-item Internet Gaming Disorder Scale-short form was used to investigate whether participants had internet game addiction, and the Berkman-Syme Social Network Index was used to evaluate the participants’ social level. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to conduct multivariate analysis to explore the influencing factors of internet game addiction. Results A total of 594 questionnaires were distributed, and 592 valid questionnaires were ultimately obtained. The detection rate of internet game addiction was 12.0%. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that gender (t=−8.281, P<0.001), age (t=3.211, P=0.001), subjective economic status in the region (t=2.025, P=0.043), and social level (t=−4.239, P<0.001) were the influencing factors of online game addiction. Due to the P value was close to the set test level (0.05), subjective economic status in the region was not considered an influencing factor of internet game addiction. Conclusion Teenagers with male gender, older age, and lower social skills are more likely to develop addiction to internet games.
Objective To explor the influence of the hospital-community-family mental rehabilitation mode on the quality of life of patients with schizophrenia. Methods We selected 101 patients diagnosed as schizophrenia according to ICD-10, who were hospitalized in mental health center of the West China Hospital and took part in rehabilitation voluntarily after discharge. Those patients were randomly assigned to two groups. Hospital-community-family mental rehabilitation mode intervention was applied to the patients based on inpatient rehabilitation in the trial group (n=52), while inpatient rehabilitation alone was applied in the control group (n=49). The total score of quality of life, psycho-social dimension, motivation and energy dimension, score of mental disability and social function, and family social care index were recorded. Then, statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 17.0 software. Results After 3 months and 6 months, the trial group had lower scores of the total score of quality of life, psycho-social domain, and motive and energy dimension than those of the control group (Plt;0.05). After 6 months, the trial group had lower scores of mental disability and social function (Plt;0.05) but a higher score of family social care index (Plt;0.05). The scores of WHO-DSA II and SQLS were positively correlated, while the scores of APGAR and SQLS were negatively correlated. Conclusion The integral mode of hospital-community-family mental rehabilitation effectively improves the quality of life of patients with schizophrenia, which also positively improves patients’ rehabilitation.
