  • STUDY OF BLOOD LIPID AND PROTEIN IN GALLSTONE PATIENT

    Objective To study the relation between the pathogenesis of gallstone and blood lipid and protein.Methods Then indexes of blood lipid and protein in 204 cases of gallstone patients were measured and analysed by statistical software SPSS. Results There was a significant difference between the gallstone group and control in the value of proalbumin, total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein and carrier protein B (P<0.01), the value of total protein, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, very low density lipoprotein cholesterol and carrier protein A1 were higher than those in the control (P<0.05). Conclusion The indexes mentioned above may play an important role in the gallstone formation.

  • The Correlation Factors for The Formation of Cholesterol Calculus

    Objective To study the latest research progress of the formation mechanism of cholesterol stone disease and forming factors of cholesterol stone disease and to provide new theoretical level and develop a new development direction for guiding clinical application. Methods The related literatures at home and abroad were analyzed, compared and summarized, and the current relevant research dynamic of cholesterol stone disease was sketched. Results The formation of cholesterol gallstone is closely related to the abnormal levels of serum lipids metabolism, bacterial and viral infection, and the expression of genes related to cholesterol gallstone. Conclusions The formation of cholesterol calculus disease is a kind of interaction and intricate disease process involving of environmental factors, genetic factors, and biological factors. Although there has been a lot of blood lipid, protein correlation research with cholesterol stone, there are also many studies such as using gene transplantation and gene knockout, but gene technology of cholesterol stone disease diagnosis and treatment is expected to become the new hot research topic.

  • Relationship of the blood pressure, glucose, and lipid with obesity in adult Tibetans in urban area of Xigaze in Tibet

    Objective To explore the relationship between obesity and the three targets including blood pressure, glucose, and lipid. Methods A total of 181 adult Tibetans who underwent physical examination between March and September 2015 at Xigaze People's Hospital were enrolled in this study. Their obesity degrees were assessed with body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference (WC) respectively. The levels of blood pressure, glucose, and lipid were compared at the different levels of BMI or WC. Results The incidence of systematic obesity and central obesity in these adults were 57.5% and 79.0%, respectively. Compared the overweight group with the normal BMI group, the systolic pressure and diastolic pressure of the former were 9.26 mm Hg (1 mm Hg=0.133 kPa) [95% confidence interval (CI) (3.46, 15.07) mm Hg, P=0.002] and 7.76 mm Hg [95%CI (3.96, 11.57) mm Hg, P<0.001] higher, respectively. Similarly, the systolic pressure and diastolic pressure of the central obesity group were 8.24 mm Hg [95%CI (1.03, 15.46) mm Hg,P=0.026] and 6.79 mm Hg [95%CI (2.03, 11.55) mm Hg, P=0.006] higher than those in the normal WC group, respectively. For the normal WC or normal BMI subjects, the detection rate of dyslipidemia reached up to 50.0% and 52.6%. Conclusions With the increase of BMI/WC values, the level of blood pressure rises. Even though WC or BMI is normal, the detection rate of dyslipidemia is high.

  • Effects of exercise on blood lipid for patients with hypertension: a network meta-analysis

    ObjectiveThis study aimed to compare the effects of aerobic training, resistance training, and aerobic training combined with resistance training on blood lipid levels for patients with hypertension using network meta-analysis. MethodsWe searched the CNKI, VIP, WanFang Data, PubMed, Web of Science, The Cochrane Library, and EMbase databases to collect randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on the effects of exercise on blood lipid levels among patients with hypertension from inception to September 16th, 2021. Two reviewers independently screened literature, extracted data, and assessed the risk of bias of the included studies. Stata 15.1 software and RevMan 5.0 software were then used to perform network meta-analysis. ResultsA total of 29 RCTs involving 2 519 patients were included. Compared with the control group, aerobic training (MD=−0.47, 95%CI −0.62 to −0.319, P<0.001), resistance training (MD=−0.37, 95%CI −0.63 to −0.11, P<0.05), and aerobic training combined with resistance training (MD=−0.61, 95%CI 0.88 to −0.34, P=0.005) reduced total cholesterol levels; aerobic training (MD=0.14, 95%CI 0.08 to 0.20, P<0.001), resistance training (MD=0.10, 95%CI 0.02 to 0.19, P<0.05), and aerobic training combined with resistance training (MD=0.12, 95%CI 0.02 to 0.23, P=0.038) increased high-density lipoproteins; aerobic training (MD=−0.32, 95%CI −0.48 to −0.15, P=0.001), resistance training (MD=−0.19, 95%CI −0.48 to −0.01, P<0.05), and aerobic training combined with resistance training (MD=−0.40, 95%CI −0.70 to −0.11, P<0.05) reduced low-density lipoproteins. The SUCRA probability sorting results showed that aerobic training had the most significant effect on the improvement of systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure; aerobic exercise combined with resistance training had the largest effect on total cholesterol, triglycerides, low-density lipoproteins, and high-density lipoproteins. ConclusionsAerobic training combined with resistance training is the most effective exercise method to improve blood lipid levels for patients with hypertension. Due to the limited quantity and quality of the included studies, the above conclusions are needed to be verified by more high-quality studies.

  • Efficacy of high-intensity interval training on weight loss and blood lipid metabolism with overweight or obesity: a meta-analysis

    ObjectiveTo systematically review the intervention effects of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) on weight loss and blood lipid metabolism in overweight/obese populations. MethodsThe computer conducted searches in the PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, CNKI, and WanFang Data database to collect randomized controlled trials (RCTs) related to HIIT and weight loss, fat reduction, and blood lipid metabolism in overweight/obese populations. The search was conducted from the inception of the databases to March 31, 2023. Two researchers independently conducted literature screening and data extraction. After evaluating the risk of bias of the included studies, a meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.4 software. ResultsA total of 19 RCTs, involving 595 overweight/obese participants, were included. The meta-analysis results showed that compared wtih the control group, HIIT interventions effectively reduced body weight (MD=−2.63, 95%CI −4.04 to −1.23, P<0.05), BMI (MD=−1.21, 95%CI −1.95 to −0.48, P<0.05), Fat% (MD=−1.66, 95%CI −2.28 to −1.04, P<0.05), TG (MD=−0.13, 95%CI −0.25 to −0.01, P=0.04), HDL (MD=0.14, 95%CI 0.05 to 0.23, P<0.05), and LDL (MD=−0.26, 95%CI −0.39 to −0.13, P<0.05) levels but did not improve TC (MD=−0.15, 95%CI −0.36 to 0.06, P=0.15) levels. ConclusionHIIT intervention can effectively improve body weight, BMI, Fat%, TG, HDL, and LDL levels in overweight/obese populations, particularly showing a more pronounced improvement in lipid profiles among overweight/obese adolescents, but it does not reduce TC levels. This study demonstrates that HIIT may be an effective strategy to assist in weight loss and prevent cardiovascular diseases in overweight/obese populations, with potential for broader application.
