ObjectiveTo understand the advance in research of high risk factors and diagnosis in primary carci-noma of gallbladder. MethodsThe literatures at home and abroad during recent years were reviewed, and the research progress of high risk factors and inchoate diagnosis about primary gallbladder carcinoma were summarized. ResultsCholecystolithiasis, cholecystitis, and other factors have a certain correlation with primary gallbladder carcinoma.The rate of early diagnosis of primary gallbladder carcinoma can be enhanced through the detailed history taking and physical examination, supplemented by a variety of imaging examination methods, and molecular biological technologies. ConclusionIt can enhance the rate of early diagnosis of primary gallbladder carcinoma that understand the risk factors and master various methods for early diagnosis of carcinoma of gallbladder.
ObjectiveTo investigate the distribution and content of endogenous salusin-βin septic rats. MethodsThirty-six SPF male SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation group (n=9) and septic model group (n=27).Only the cecum was turn in the sham operation group and the septic model was made by the cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) in the septic model group.The rats were sacrificed at 6 h, 12 h, and 24 h after modeling in the septic model group.The contents of salusin-βin the tissues of spleen, stomach, small intestine, hypothalamus, and serum specimens were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results①The salusin-βendogenously generated in the rat tissues including the spleen, stomach, small intestine, hypothalamus, and serum.The content of salusin-βin the spleen tissue was higher than that in the other tissues (P < 0.05).②The contents of salusin-βin the spleen, stomach, small intestine tissues together with the serum increased significantly at 6 h after CLP as compared with the sham operation group (P < 0.05).The contents of salusin-βin the spleen tissue and serum were peaked at 12 h, in the small intestine tissue reached the summit at 24 h.While, the content of salusin-βhad no significant fluctuation in the stomach tissue.The content of salusin-βbegan to increase at 6 h in the hypothalamus tissue, and significantly increased at 12 h after CLP (P < 0.05). ConclusionThe time-dependent change of salusin-βin sepsis rats suggests that salusin-βmight be involved with the pathogenesis of sepsis.
ObjectiveTo systematically review the efficacy and safety of chemo-radiotherapy combined with hyperthermia (HCRT) for rectal cancer, and to provide evidence for clinical practice. MethodsWe searched the Cochrane Library (Issue 6, 2014), PubMed, EMbase, Web of Science, CBM, CNKI, VIP and WanFang Data databases from inception to July 2014. All relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of HCRT for rectal cancer were collected. Two reviewers independently screened literature, extracted data, and assessed the risk of bias of included studies. Then meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 software. ResultsA total of 9 RCTs involving 663 patients were included. The results of meta-analysis showed that:Compared with the chemo-radiotherapy (CRT) group, the HCRT group were significant superior in complete response (OR=3.74, 95%CI 2.14 to 6.53), total effective rate (OR=4.23, 95%CI 2.69 to 6.66), 3-year survival rate (OR=4.48, 95%CI 1.81 to 11.06) and recurrence rate (OR=0.19, 95%CI 0.09 to 0.42). ②Compared with the radiotherapy (RT) group, the HCRT group was associated with significant improvement in complete response rate (OR=3.01, 95%CI 1.24 to 7.29). ConclusionCurrent evidence shows, HCRT is superior to CRT or RT in the treatment of rectal cancer. However, due to the limited quantity and quality of the included studies, more high quality studies are needed to verify the above conclusion.
