The deep integration of modern technology and medical development promotes the change of medical and health management environment. As an important part of hospital medical and health decision-making process, the evaluation and access of medical equipment and consumables need scientific evidence-based evaluation system. This paper introduces a new-equipment evaluation model created by the multi-disciplinary evaluation team of West China Hospital of Sichuan University under the guidance of evidence-based ideas and methods. This model is suitable for the Chinese national conditions and easy to operate.
ObjectiveTo find out the influencing factors of electrocardiogram (ECG) monitor configuration decision in surgical nursing units and form a scientific configuration standard, so as to provide a basis for the reasonable configuration of ECG monitors.MethodsFrom May to June 2018, the indexes and weights affecting the configuration of ECG monitors in surgical nursing units of a large public hospital were determined by interview survey method and analytic hierarchy process.ResultsThe influencing factors for configuration of ECG monitors in surgical nursing units were the number of operations, number of rescues, number of emergencies, number of deaths, and number of patients transferred to and out of intensive care unit, and the weights were 0.459 7, 0.224 9, 0.155 3, 0.111 2, and 0.049 0, respectively. The classification of nursing units was taken as plan, and the configuration standard of ECG monitors was established.ConclusionThe configuration model of ECG monitors in surgical nursing units based on analytic hierarchy process realizes the combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis, which provides scientific and reasonable reference for the configuration of ECG monitors.
In order to further promote the construction of healthy Tibet, West China Hospital of Sichuan University, which has rich experience in providing assistance to Tibetan areas, has proposed a new model of “136” assistance to Tibet. In this new model, the demand of the assisted hospital is the center. Technology, talent and management as three core elements are starting point. Six special topics were taken as the dimensions, including specialist capacity building, technology popularization, establishment of chronic disease prevention and treatment system, appropriate talent training, hospital management training and model effect evaluation. This paper introduces the structural framework of the model and its application in Tibetan hospitals. It also puts forward the problems existing in the work of assisting Tibet and gives relevant suggestions, aiming to provide a reference for the improvement and perfection of medical aid work in Tibet.
