Vascular endothelial cell(VEC) is a kind of simple squamous epithelium lined on the inner surface of blood vessels. VEC is an important barrier between the blood and tissue and it also plays a key role in regulating inflammation, thrombosis, endothelial cells mediated vasodilatation and endothelial regeneration. These processes should be controlled by a variety of complex mechanism which requires us to find out. With results of the researches in vascular endothelial cell function, the important roles that microRNA in vascular endothelial cell function draws more and more researchers' attention. MicroRNAs control gene expression in post-transcriptional level and affect the function of endothelial cells. This review focuses on the research progress on regulatory mechanism of microRNA to endothelial cell inflammation, thrombosis, vasodilation and endothelium regeneration.
Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of creatinine, as an indicator of glomerular filtration function injury. Methods MEDLINE, EMBASE and CBM-disc were searched from 1993 to 2003. Thirty four articles that described biomedical markers to indicate glomerular filtration function injury were selected according to specified inclusion criteria. These articles were evaluated systematically using SPSS, EXCEL, and RevMan software. Results The odds ratios of creatinine was 24.23. Areas under summarized receiver operator characteristic curve were 0.871. Selected articles were divided to groups for analysis according to diagnostic standards, such as inulin, iohexol, 125I-iothalamate, 51Cr-EDTA, 99mTc-DTPA and sodium thiosulfate. Inter-group analysis of creatinine was not statistically different (P=0.32). Intra-group analysis of inulin, 51Cr-EDTA, 99mTc-DTPA, and iohexol was not statistically different, P value were 0.61, 0.50, 0.36, 0.32, respectively. Intra-group analysis of 125I-iothalamate was statistically different (P=0.02). Selected articles were sub-grouped according to different analytic techniques of creatinine. Intra-group analysis by the Jaffe method was statistically different (P=0.03), intra-group analysis of enzymatic method was not statistically different (P=0.22). Conclusion The diagnostic value of creatinine was not qualified enough to indicate glomerular filtration function injury. Enzymatic methods are recommended to measure creatinine. Inulin or 51Cr-EDTA is suggusted to measure glomerular filtration rate in investigation of creatinine,and feedforward cohort is recommended to apply.
The summary of finding (SoF) table for network meta-analysis (NMA) was developed by the GRADE working group to facilitate and consolidate understanding NMA findings and GRADE certainty of evidence. This paper introduces the development process, the structure of NMA-SoF and limitations. A NMA publication was presented as an example to comprehensively illustrate the application of the NMA-SoF table.
ObjectiveThis article aims to comprehensively retrieve and summarize the best evidence for the self-management of epilepsy in adolescents, so as to provide a reference for clinical medical staff and relevant decision makers. MethodsWe systematically searched Cochrane, Global Guidelines Collaboration (GIN), Scottish Interhospital Guidelines Network (SIGN), Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI), NICE, RANO (Nurses' Association of Ontario, Canada), UpToDate, BMJ, Medical Maitong, PubMed, International League Against Epilepsy, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Database and other databases and websites. All kinds of literature related to the self-management of epilepsy in adolescents were collected from the establishment of the database to April 18, 2023, including clinical decision-making, clinical guidelines,. Evidence summary, expert consensus, systematic review, etc. Four researchers were invited to evaluate the quality of the retrieved guidelines, and two researchers independently screened and evaluated the quality of the remaining literature. According to the opinions of professionals, data extraction and analysis were performed on the literature that met the inclusion criteria. ResultsA total of 9 articles were included, including 3 clinical guidelines, 3 expert consensus and 3 systematic reviews. We summarized the evidence in the literature in the following 8 aspects: Self-management initiation timing, monitoring management, psychological management, innovative self-management mode, information and support, medication management, daily life management and follow-up management. We identified 34 best pieces of evidence. ConclusionsThis article provides health care providers with the best evidence for the self-management of adolescents with epilepsy, guiding them to provide self-management education and counseling for adolescents with epilepsy through evidence-based methods, helping them to improve self-management ability, reduce seizures, reduce health services and healthcare costs, and improve quality of life.
